Upgrade Sentinel

Know when a new version is out and upgrade without losing recordings or settings.

Once a day the server checks for a new version. Administrators then see a banner in the dashboard, and System → Updates shows the exact upgrade steps and a Check now button. Upgrades keep your recordings and settings.

Linux

tar xzf sentinel-<version>-linux-amd64.tar.gz
cd sentinel-<version>-linux-amd64
sudo ./install.sh

Mac

  1. Download the new Sentinel Operator and replace the copy in Applications.
  2. For the server on this Mac, follow How to upgrade in the dashboard banner.

iPhone

The App Store updates Sentinel VMS like any other app.
